DIG THE GIG!

Radio Hauraki is a proud sponsor of this years DIG THE GIG!

DIG THE GIG was established in 2021 to create a musical movement - a movement to get student bands out their flats/halls of residents and into a live music venue to put on a kick ass show and connect to humans that should know about them but don’t. 

DIG THE GIG is the coolest University Band Competition in the world that exposes and unearth's the bands through the fans. There are no Judges - the bands are carried through the heats, onto the semi’s and into the grand final by a DECIBEL METER.

A scout from Radio Hauraki at the grand final will choose one band that embraces music that rocks, and performs an original single that the Radio Hauraki scout digs!

This award includes:

- An interview on Radio Hauraki Night Show

- Single played on air (and could be added to the playlist)

- Band photo and bio added to the dedicated DIG THE GIG page hosted on Hauraki.co.nz

- A feature on the Hauraki Instagram.
