Wellington's kept its unbeaten ITM Cup record in tact, coasting to a 29-nil win over Northland at Westpac Stadium.

The home side led 17-nil at the halftime break, with wingers Wes Goosen and Joe Hill grabbing first-half tries.

Flanker Ardie Savea opened the scoring when crossing over early in the second spell.

The Taniwha never looked in the game, and the Lions secured their four-try bonus point through a try to Jackson Garden-Bachop.

It's the second week in a row Wellington's kept a clean sheet in the competition.

The victory puts Wellington in second place in the the championship, one point behind Hawke's Bay.
