An Australian man has had his Facebook account deleted multiple times - all because of his name.

Phuc Dat Bich, a 23-year-old Vietnamese-Australian, expressed his anger on his Facebook page, along with a photograph of his passport.

"I find it highly irritating the fact that nobody seems to believe me when I say that my full legal name is how you see it.

"I've been accused of using a false and misleading name of which I find very offensive. Is it because I'm Asian? Is it?

"Having my fb [Facebook] shut down multiple times and forced to change my name to my 'real' name, so just to put it out there. My name."

He signed off his post, "Yours sincerely, Phuc Dat Bich."

His post, written in January this year, had now garnered international fame with over 130,000 Facebook 'likes' and shared by 75,000.

One user comforted him and said: "Bro, never give up your name. Your name represent something very cool that is important in today's world filled with feeling of hate between different human races. There are things that we can laugh on and enjoy together. Stay hardcore bro," he said.

The correct Vietnamese pronunciation for his name is Phoo Da Bic.
